  • SOLD-1958 Ferrari 250 Pinin Farina coupe ex Mike Hawthorn

SOLD- to Mr Christopher Haynes of The Haynes International Motor Museum in Somerset.

1958 Ferrari 250 GT Pinin Farina coupe. One of just nine right hand drive cars ever made, it was one of two bought by the Ferrari works driver and World Champion, Mike Hawthorn for his Tourist Trophy garage up the road from us in Farnham, and was exhibited at the 1958 London Motor Show.

This car was sold to Major Fitzgerald at the show ,whilst the second car car went on to famously be the reason Maranello Concessioanires Ltd now exists-that car is now a 250 GTO reproduction!

With matching engine ,gearbox and body and what appers to be the original back axle-the numbers become worn away due to their location with a full fascinating and documented history from new.

A true piece of Ferrari history
